Aimee Ritchie

Tap

Aimee Ritchey would consider herself a little obsessed with tap. At the age of three, she began lessons under the mentorship of Jane Raddatz, Danny Wold, Liz Goff, Kala Curtis and many others. Jane and Danny’s teacher Lew Ballatore, had a distinctive style, which Aimee strongly draws from for her tap foundations.

Aimee has had the privilege to take from tap legands and masters, such as Savion Glover, Chloe Arnold, Maud Arnold, Anthony Locascio, Bentley Micheals, Mike Minery, Mark Goodman, Sarah Reich and many other professionals.

Aimee began teaching in 2019 and fell in love with sharing the joy of tap with others. She believes that tap is not only a style of dance and instrument, but a cornerstone in United States history. She holds that tapping isn’t just about learning the names of steps, but also honoring the tappers that came before us.

When teaching, Aimee focuses on kinesthetic awareness, self-correction, positive engagement and educational connection. She believes that understanding yourself opens countless opportunities to fail, experiment, succeed and be supported as you grow in dance and life.

Hi….I’m Maggie!

Dance has always been a passion of mine that I love sharing with others. During my years as a dance student, I have studied multiple dance styles such as:

Hip-Hop, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz.

Although I am currently a full time Ballet student - I also enjoy singing, songwriting, and painting!

My goal is to help students find joy and confidence through dance, while having fun and growing their skills. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds as we grow together!
